Damon has asked Caroline to take a little walk with him on the beach. He told her he had an important thing to ask her. She was a little nervous. Damon has become more romantic during their relationship, but this kind of commitment she would’ve never imagined. She stared at him in awe when he pulled a little box out of his pocket and took her hand.
“God, I suck at these kind of things…” he chuckled. “Just… just open it.”
“Oh my god…” Caroline was already in tears when she took the box from him. She opened it. “If you don’t like it, we can’t change it to whatever…” Damon said but Caroline stopped him by smiling widely at him. “It’s perfect.”
“So… The answer is yes?” Caroline could tell Damon was even more nervous than her, he was completely panicking.
“Of course, you silly!” she punched him playfully and then he put the ring on her finger.
“Don’t let me go,” Caroline said seriously. He knew exactly what she meant so he said “Don’t let me go”.
Suddenly Caroline began to sob because of the happiness. “Come here,” Damon said and gave her the warmest hug with all of his love. No one had ever hugged her like that. She kissed him deeply. “I love you.”
